Xavi Gordo's Fashion Photography Journey
Xavi Gordo is a fashion photographer specializing in beauty, celebrity, and advertising photography, with his work featured in some of the most prestigious fashion magazines and renowned brands worldwide.
Born in Barcelona in 1983, Gordo developed a passion for art and painting during his childhood. As a young teenager, he discovered photography and became obsessed with mastering the intricacies of lighting and technical aspects of the craft. This passion led him to pursue formal studies in photography. Upon completing his education, he embarked on his career as an assistant, quickly becoming one of the most sought-after assistants by leading fashion photographers in the country. Through his work alongside industry veterans, he honed his skills and knowledge, eventually taking the leap to establish his own path in 2010.
As a professional fashion photographer, Gordo has worked for top global clients such as Chanel, Rolex, Dolce & Gabbana, or Rabat, among others. At the same time, throughout the years, he has collaborated with top international fashion publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, GQ, Elle, Variety, Esquire, Madame Figaró, Marie Claire, and Maxim among others. He has crafted fashion narratives and iconic covers featuring some of the industry’s most recognizable names, including Cindy Crawford, Anja Rubik, Helena Christensen, Joan Smalls, Mariacarla Boscono, Miranda Kerr, David Gandy, Eva Herzigova, Luna Bijl, Bianca Balti, Doutzen Kroes, Sara Sampaio, Taylor Hill, Isabeli Fontana, Bar Refaeli, Elsa Hosk, Coco Rocha, Cindy Bruna, and many more.
